On October 1, 2019 “Optic fiber Systems” JSC joined the National project “Labor Productivity and Support of Employment”. The objective of this project is to increase the efficiency of production and the entire enterprise as a whole.

Within the program, the company, using the principles of economical production and the rational activity approach, sets a goal to increase labor productivity. The main forces will be focused on the processes of production, quality control, logistics and warehousing.

The modern market is rapidly developing and thus dictates new conditions.Regardless of production scale the main requirements for modern production are:  flexibility, stability, ability to adapt to customers’ needs and respond quickly to market changes, efficiency in the use of material, time and human resources.The implementation of the project on optimization of optical fiber production processes is our response to the modern challenges of the changing market.

On the basis of "Optic fiber Systems" JSC a team, including employees of our company and experts, for the next six months will be optimizing current production processes, namely to do mapping and timing of production, identify problem areas and find solutions to eliminate them.

The productivity project is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and knowledge and to increase competitiveness by creating a culture of high productivity and efficiency.

“Optic fiber Systems” JSC (www.rusfiber.ru) – is the first and the only Russian plant manufacturing optical fiber. The plant is situated in Saransk, Mordovia Republic. It was officially opened on 25 September   2015. The shareholders of the company are RUSNANO, Gazprombank and the Government of Mordovia Republic.

Optical fiber is the main component of optic cables for signal transmission in modern communication networks. Fiber is also used as a sensor for monitoring deformation, temperature, acoustics and other indicators.

"Optic fiber Systems" JSC produces telecommunication optical fibers of standards G652 and G 657 A1 including those with reduced diameter of 200 microns; provides services on optical fiber coloring and the application of ring marks "ringmarking". Optical fibers of new types such as G651 and G655 are being prepared for release. Products are certified in Russia and the quality is confirmed by "Rostelecom" PJSC, Russia's leading cable companies and foreign consumers.

According to the results of certification, optical fiber was approved for use on the networks of the largest Russian Telecom operators Rostelecom, MTS, MegaFon and others.

Manufacturing capacity of the plant is 4 mln kilometers of optical fiber per year.
