"Optic fiber Systems" JSC took the first place in the TOP-15 of the National rating of the Russian high-tech rapidly developing companies "TechUp-2018"

The Russian Venture Company (RVC) summed up the results of the annual ranking TechUp, the most respected rating of the Russian rapidly developing innovative technological plants in Russia. "Optic fiber Systems" JSC was included in the TOP-15 Russian high-tech rapidly developing companies. It is the first plant of the Republic of Mordovia, which became the leader of the rating.

The “TechUp” rating is annually compiled in partnership with the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia and the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Rating methodology is developed by PWC.

“TechUp” focuses on search, monitoring and promotion of promising rapidly developing  technological companies that have a high leadership potential in both the Russian and the global markets. The selection of candidates comprises two-stages. The ranking criteria were the dynamics of turnover of the  core businesses, indicators’ growth rate and the innovativeness of their products.

The most successful participants were distinguished in the following categories: TOP-5 large companies with 2 -30 billion rubles revenues; TOP-5 medium - with revenues from 800 million to 2 billion rubles; TOP-5 small - with revenues of up to 800 million rubles; TOP-15 - in terms of revenue growth; TOP-15 innovative - companies that produce high-tech products, as well as the TOP-15 in terms of exports.

According to the results of the selection, “Optic fiber Systems” JSC was among the three TOP-15 ratings of fast-growing companies and TOP-15 companies with the largest export potential, and also was ranked first in the overall ranking among medium-sized enterprises (with revenues from 800 million to 2 billion rub.).

“Optic fiber Systems” JSC (www.rusfiber.ru) – is the first Russian plant manufacturing optical fiber. The plant is situated in Saransk, Mordovia Republic. It  was officially opened September 25th,  2015. The shareholders of the company are RUSNANO, Gazprombank, the Government of Mordovia Republic.

Today it is a modern high-tech manufacturing with a capacity of 2,4 million km of optical fiber per year. While based on the scheduled upgrade project the capacity of the plant will be increased to 4 mln kilometers of optical fiber per year.

Currently there are the most popular types of the fiber – optical fibers of G652d and G657A1/G652d standards - are serially produced at the plant. The both types of the fiber are certified and were successfully tested by OJCS Rostelecom. Optical fibers of other types are planned to produce.
